Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Jacksboro is accepting applications for the position of Manufacturing Technology Instructor at our Main Campus. This position is responsible for teaching courses related to Manufacturing Technology.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of technical college diploma.  Associates Degree or equivalent higher education training with credentials in related field preferred
Minimum three (3) years of related work experience
Strong hands-on technical background in electronics, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, programmable logic controllers (PLC), instrumentation, preventative maintenance, computer software and computer hardware skills, AC/DC electrical, machine tool/CNC, and welding
Ability to plan, organize, and manage diversified tasks; be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques
Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher
Must commit to remain current in the Industrial Maintenance/Mechatronics field and maintain program accreditation
Understand quality assurance standards including ISO 9000
Must have the ability to interact with high school and adult students

· Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students to prepare them to become Manufacturing Technology technicians
Develop curricula to supplement the computer-based instruction with lab activities and exercises that prepare students for working in a modern manufacturing environment, including: LEAN Manufacturing, manufacturing processes, industrial safety, blueprint reading, process automation, quality inspection, CAD/CAM, and preventative maintenance
Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress
Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports
Assist in recruitment and placement of students
Maintain good public relations with business and industry and maintain an active advisory committee
