About
The Emergency Medical Technology Program is designed to provide basic and advanced training for emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. Emergency Medical Technicians function as a part of a comprehensive Emergency Medical System response, under medical oversight. EMTs perform interventions with the basic equipment found on an ambulance.
Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be eligible to apply for the State exam to obtain licensure.
Contact the appropriate licensing agency in the U.S. States and territories where licensure is intended. This will enable you to obtain the most up-to-date information about licensure requirements. Our college has not made a determination on whether or not its curriculum meets the State educational requirements for licensure or certification for states outside of Tennessee.
