President Dr. Debbie Petree of Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Jacksboro is pleased to announce that the school’s Practical Nursing Program has been ranked 4th in the state by the Nursing Schools Almanac for 2020. The Appalachian Regional Practical Nursing Program, which is in a consortium with Tennessee College of Applied Technology- Oneida/Huntsville’s nursing program, received an overall score of 93.1%, based on data compiled over a nine year time period between 2009 -2018. This scoring was based on state board pass rates, which only averages 1st time testing results of graduates of the program from both schools. I am honored to work with such a great team of individuals and am very pleased with the success of our graduates. This accomplishment is also attributed to strong support from the community, valuable advisory members, and support & dedication from our clinical sites, as well as adjunct faculty.” The program’s 2019 board pass rates, which were released in January of this year, was 98%, while the state’s overall pass rate was at 91.8% and the national pass rate was 85.6% respectfully.
